“For Our Children” Foundation held a charity auction under the patronage of Ms. Silva Zurleva. The auction revenue amounted to 30 200 leva. “The money will support the integration of children into foster families", said in her gratitude speech Ms. Ivanka Shalapatova, director of “For Our Children” Foundation.
The ceremony was hosted by Gala and Drago Simeonov and special guest performers included Beloslava nd Orlin Pavlov. Among the official guests was also Ms. Nadine Norr from Every Child foundation. Many luxury goods and limited-series accessories were displayed in the course of the dinner-auction.
Some of the most interesting items included the world’s most expensive perfume Clive Christian, a personally autographed book of Vaclav Klaus, a T-shirt belonging to the volleyball player Plamen Konstantinov, a “Rose doll” necklace by Servan Gaxotte, paintings by Ivan Tabakov, Dimo Nikolov, Boris Kolev, etc.
The auction was conducted by the specialist in this field Mr. Igor Markov, founder of the oldest auction house in Bulgaria - Apollo&Mercury. The event began with the sale of one umbrella carrying the logo of “For our children” foundation. The initial price was zero leva and the bidding step was set at 10 leva. The price of this first item rapidly reached 240 leva, at which it was finally sold. The most expensive perfume in the world Clive Christian attracted the interest of the ladies.
Among the other lots was a "Band of the Year" statuette donated by the musician Orlin Pavlov. It changed hands for 400 leva. Another interesting item was a pen belonging to Mr. Solomon Passy, with which he used for signing documents during his tenure as Bulgarian foreign minister. The pen was sold for 200 leva.
The pop singer Beloslava bought a red bicycle for 2600 leva. Plamen Konstantinov’s T-shirt was sold for 810 leva. The soccer shoes of Bulgaria’s former national player Daniel Borimirov cashed 250 leva.
