Donation establishing the center for volunteer and donation initiatives of the "For Our Children" foundation
For Our Children Foundation is inviting you to support our initiative to set up a new and innovative Centre for community actions. We are a team of 50 social workers, psychologists, family therapists and experts in the child welfare sphere who more than 19 years are working hard to ensure that Bulgarian children live in secure family environment.
At the moment we work in Sofia and Plovdiv. For the last 10 years our central hub was located in a small privately owned apartment on the 5th floor at Juri Venelin street in the centre of Sofia. We are more and more addressing the need to have more space to work with the community namely our donors, volunteers, partners, parents and children, space where we could have direct and motivating communication.
Our activities have always been transparent and widely promoted and this is the reason why we enjoy the great interest of many people to support our child centered causes in one or another way. In 2012 our major priority is related to including the society more widely in our activities with direct meetings, volunteering initiatives, learning and exchange of know-how forums, parental capacity courses and fundraising initiatives. Up to now the space we have available did not allow us to implement all these activities due to the fact that our centers in Sofia and Plovdiv are very small and they are fully occupied by the direct social and psychological work with children and families at risk especially the children abandoned in social homes! We hope to have you as our partner and in this respect as investor in our society who could provide us with the space where we could set up our first Centre for Community Actions. We strongly rely on the community support in our work and this is the main reason why we think that creating this centre will equip us with the necessary abilities to support more children to grow up in family environment and never meet the hardships of being alone and isolated in a social home or on the street!
We rely on YOUR support to set up a very bright, positive, real and emotional space and environment where the society could support our causes and bring the children of Bulgaria better opportunities to develop and fulfill their dreams!
