“For Our Children Foundation” helped 32 foster families in Sofia and Plovdiv
Since the beginning of the year, social workers and specialists in our children's centers in Sofia and Plovdiv have helped 32 foster carers and children who are placed in them. Our organization provides support to everybody who wants to become foster parents or is already approved to foster a child.
The experts from the Community Support Center “St.Sofia” and the National Center for Prevention of abandonment provide free information and consultation on foster care and trainings for people who want to foster children at risk. Ongoing trainings and assessment of the candidates is also provided by the centers.
Our social workers present the candidates for foster parents at the meetings of the Municipal committees for the child who approve the candidates. After the approval procedure our specialists support the carer to provide quality care for the foster child.

Every Wednesday at 18 pm at the Community Support Center “St.Sofia” you can meet other people who want to become foster parents and learn together more about fostering.
