More than 30 parents attended the first public demonstration on care for the newborn, organized by “For Our Children" Foundation. The event was part of the foundation responsibility to promote good and secure family care for every child. The initiative was realized in cooperation with Mall Plovdiv. During the meeting with future mothers and fathers Dr. Diana Argirova from the Hospital of Plovdiv showed the correct ways of bathing the infant and gave practical advices on nutrition, skin care, massages and diaper change.
"We really want to help the future parents to be confident in their parental skills. Being a parent is not difficult, but it takes responsibly and support from the family and relatives. Unfortunately our organization meets with many people who are forced by different circumstances to separate with their babies after childbirth. These are mothers and fathers who often do not have support and understanding by their relatives. Through today's demonstration, we want to show the society that parents need support of all of us, not only form their family. We want to encourage future mothers and fathers to look for advices and to ask specialists when they faced with a dilemma in caring for their newborns." - said Ivanka Shalapatova, Director of “For Our Children" Foundation.
The marketing manager of Mall Plovdiv Svetlin Valov congratulated the parents who took part in the demonstration and wished them successful parenting. "I know that being a parent is challenging, but I am convinced that such meetings are rally helpful. Nobody is born taught, but should be trained "added Svetlin Valov.
