The magic in our Children’s House continues! Today we wrote another wonderful story – another little boy found his family, and with this we proved that there are no impossible things in this world when there is great love, hard work and good care! Now we will immerse you in the path that this little one took to find his happiness! Marty came to us a year ago when he was only three months old – motionless, without physical activity, with a wandering, gloomy look. We knew that something was wrong and immediately initiated consultations with doctors starting with the children’s general pediatrician Dr. Stancheva. On her recommendation, we did a number of tests that showed slight deviations in Marty’s motor activity and the need for rehabilitation. We started immediately – organized three physiotherapy procedures at the Hospital for the Treatment of Cerebral Palsy “St. Sophia”, electrical stimulation of the legs and spine and medical rehabilitation, each for 10 days. We learned by watching the procedures so the team in Children’s house could continued to do stimulating exercises and games with the child. Marty progressed very quickly, becoming more lively and dynamic with each passing day, curious about everything around him. He became a wonderfully healthy and smiling child, with eyes shining with love. Very smart and curious, our little researcher carefully started to examine each toy with undisguised curiosity, to enjoy and play with all the other children as they became a stimulus for his development. Despite the huge lag in his development when Marty came to us a year ago, the miracle happened! About ten days ago Marty made his first step and immediately started walking! He also said the sweetest words in the world – mom and dad. The good fairy fulfilled this little boy’s dream and sent him a real mom and dad, who loved him from the first moment they spent together and could not wait for the next day to visit! Finally, the most wonderful day has come – Marty left the Children’s House to go to his real home with his mom and dad! We believe that he will boldly and confidently continue his happy journey through life surrounded by the love and care of his adoptive family. We all cried but with happy tears and joy because this child was a great challenge through which we proved that good care and great love have the power to heal not only the emotional but also the physical pain in a child! We wish him to walk more and more confidently towards happiness, and miracles to continue to accompany his life! We love you, Marty! Snezhanka Atanasova, caregiver at the Children’s…
