Early child intervention

What is Early Childhood Intervention?

Through our early childhood intervention program, we provide support for children from 0 to 3 years old, prematurely born, with disabilities, or at risk of developing disabilities, delay or digression in development.

We support the family so that it can stimulate the development of its child despite the medical and social challenges he or she faces. The early childhood intervention specialists use an approach which focuses on the strong features of the family and the child. In this way, they do not only identify what the child can do but also, through the support they provide, develop their strong sides and interests.

The frameworks of the program also ensure a mobile social and medical care in the community. The program gives the parents a chance to find out more about the needs of their child and to get answers to questions regarding his or hers stages of development. Through the program, the strong features and abilities of the child are developed, and the parents receive training, support, and advice for parenthood. Two early intervention teams realized the program on the territory of the cities of Sofia and Plovdiv.
